Dr Kenneth Cheung is committed to delivering the highest standard of dental care, underpinned by over two decades of clinical experience and a strong dedication to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
After completing high school in Canada, Dr Cheung was recognised as an Ontario Scholar in 1991. He earned his first degree at the University of Toronto in 1996 before migrating to Australia, where he obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Western Australia. He then pursued further postgraduate clinical training at the University of Adelaide, equipping him with advanced skills in contemporary dental techniques.
With a special interest in dental implantology and aesthetic dentistry, Dr Cheung has remained at the forefront of innovation amidst the rapidly evolving landscape of dental technologies. In 2009, he was among the inaugural cohort to complete the Graduate Diploma in Oral Implantology at the University of Sydney. He later attained a Master of Oral Implantology in 2013, awarded by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), a globally recognised authority in implant dentistry. In 2014, Dr Cheung became one of the first Australian dentists to earn a Master’s degree in Aesthetic Dentistry from the prestigious King’s College London, one of the world’s top institutions in the field.
Dr Cheung has contributed extensively to the academic community, publishing articles in both national and international journals with a focus on cosmetic and implant dentistry. He holds a Certificate in Systematic Review and Meta-analysis in Healthcare from Johns Hopkins University, further demonstrating his commitment to research-based clinical practice. In 2014, his work was internationally acknowledged when he received a presentation award at a global oral implantology conference. In 2018, he was invited as a keynote speaker at a dental conference in Tokyo, Japan, where he presented on the management of complex implant cases involving five of the most trusted implant systems used in Australia.
In 2021, Dr Cheung achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Research and Epidemiology from Harvard Medical School, further enhancing his academic credentials. During this program, he collaborated with global medical researchers on a multi-centre, triple-blinded, randomised, placebo-controlled Phase II trial, investigating the effect of 4-phenylbutyrate on ventilator-free days and diaphragm atrophy.
As a strong advocate for digital innovation in dentistry, Dr Cheung became the first Australian dentist to successfully complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Dentistry from the International Digital Dental Academy, London, and was subsequently recognised as an Advanced Member of the International Digital Dental Academy (UK).
To remain at the cutting edge of implant dentistry, Dr Cheung is currently pursuing his tenth university qualification, undertaking a Master’s degree in Advanced Dental Implantology at Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology(UK).
